Spiritual Development

Frustrations and Questions

Seeking to know yourself more fully in relationships, careers, and in connections to Self and the Divine, you may become aware of frustrations about your daily life, or emptiness in your habitual work, relationships, and play activities.

Questions will arise more frequently: Who am I?  What am I doing here?  What is my life's purpose?  Is this all there is to life?

These frustrations and questions are reminding you that you do have a clear purpose for being here.

It does not matter what your religious or spiritual orientation is, or if you believe that you are nothing more than your physical body.  The questions will arise nonetheless, and one conscious action you can take is to find a meaningful way to open to the answers.

The Process

A door has opened and now you can choose to step through.  It is time to explore your questions in a safe and consciously guided way.

It is my role as counsellor ~ teacher to support you to understand your current relationships both with your self and with your world.

Becoming consciously aware of your beliefs allows you to deconstruct the illusion of self as separate from everything else.

Understanding your ideas of 'right and wrong' you have been taught will free you from guilt and judgment of self and others.

In this way the space is created for you to hear the answers arise from your true essence, your connection to the Divine.

The process of stepping through the open door is a balance of spiritual practice, and of navigating the life issues that may be stimulating your questions in the first place.

Cultivating a Spiritual Practice

A spiritual practice consists of actions and ways of being that enhance your ability to live consciously in each moment.

While many creative, athletic, and nature-based activities are important parts of any practice, some of the key elements of a spiritual practice include: breathwork, meditation, focus on healthy body and mind, relaxation and guided visioning.
